Rose Tinting in the Emerging Discourse of the Bioeconomy

This presentation analyses the discourse of the bioeconomy, a relatively recently emerging discourse which blends sustainability and economics. The focus is on the phenomenon of ‘rose-tinting’, i.e., downplaying the catastrophic impact of problems and exaggerating the effectiveness of potential solutions.

The seminar is part of the Corpora, Linguistics and Technology Lab, in collaboration with the University of Bologna Dis-4Change Unit.
