Climate Change Theories, Narrations and Discourse: Sharing Knowledges,Methods and Practices
24-27 June 2024
The summer school in “Climate Change Theories, Narrations and Discourse: Sharing Knowledges, Methods and Practices” is aimed at students and researchers from different disciplines who seek to advance their knowledge and share good practices for the analysis of climate change critical theories, narrations and discourse.
It will provide a collaborative space for students and researchers who aim to investigate how climate change is communicated, narrated, and socially constructed. It will therefore provide theoretical and methodological tools for the identification of linguistic, discursive, narrative and multimodal strategies in dialogue with related studies in the humanities and social sciences.
The programme consists of a series of lectures, intensive work sessions and roundtable discussions.

More info on Palazzo Du Mesnil:
Originally commissioned by Oscar Du Mesnil and designed by architect Arrougé, the building was built in the late 19th century with meticulous attention to architectural detail. This elegant building features ornate interiors adorned with boiseries, gilded embellishments, marble fireplaces, and a preserved fresco in the great hall. The structure, constructed using imported Maltese stone and likely crafted by Belgian artisans, blends various late 19th-century French architectural motifs both inside and out. The building’s history includes changes in ownership, resulting in some loss of decorations and painted panels, along with general wear. In 2000, it came under ownership of the University of Naples L’Orientale, now housing administrative offices and the Umberto Scerrato Museum, along with the Museum of the African Society of Italy.
